Whether adolescents or adults, individuals or groups, learning how to navigate the “roller coaster” of life’s challenges is an ongoing process, we provide personal and professional life skills and social and emotional coaching to help with this process.
Glen Gatling and AB Thomas III have been encouraging, mentoring, and motivating the youth for over 10 years. With a vision to also increase mental health awareness, they pursued and successfully received degrees in Sociology and Psychology. In 2020, Glen and AB desired to have a greater impact throughout the community. Their increased passion led them to construct All About Understanding Inc. (ABU), a non-profit organization whose mission is to bridge the gap between traditional classroom settings and real-life situations by teaching youth and young adults life skills with a focus on social and emotional learning.
While mentoring the youth, Glen and AB noticed several other gaps. Teachers, principals, employees of corporations, and other adult community members became curious about how they could build strong relationships with the youth that enabled them to be so successful with their mentoring program.
That is when they discovered that developing Understood LLC was necessary because as many adults, if not more, lack the social and emotional skills necessary to overcome the social issues preventing them from becoming the best version of themselves.
Glen, AB, and their dedicated team utilize their life experiences, education, and God-given gifts to provide consulting, coaching, skills training, and motivational speaking to organizations, corporations, school systems, government agencies, and other adults seeking our services, helping them bridge the gaps causing their struggles and lack of success.
